Report: Review of Local Governments’ Implementation of Personal Data Protection on Online Government-Citizen Interaction Interfaces, 2022
The report “Review of Local Governments’ Implementation of Personal Data Protection on Online Government-Citizen Interaction Interfaces, 2022” was conducted by Institute for Policy Studies and Media Development (IPS) in collaboration with UNDP Vietnam from October 2021 to June 2022. This report presents findings from the review of local governments’ practices in personal data and privacy protection on e-government portals and online public service portals of all 63 provinces as well as smart applications being put into use by 50 provinces.
The study made recommendations to central and local authorities on how to improve policy on and practices of protecting personal data on the government-citizen interaction platforms
