12th CPV’s ninth session opens, discusses personnel preparation

Party General Secretary and President Nguyễn Phú Trọng opened the ninth session of the 12th Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) Central Committee today. During the session, members of the Party Central Committee are expected to discuss personnel planning for the CPV Central Committee for the 2021-26 tenure and conduct a vote of confidence on members of the Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat.
