40% of localities to set up child-friendly investigation rooms in 2020-2025 period
Child-friendly investigation rooms will be established in 40% of cities and provinces nationwide in the 2020-2025 period, which is set as one of key targets of the Prime Minister-approved national action plan to prevent and combat violence against children and child sexual abuse in the period.
The plan details five groups of solutions to help realise these targets, focusing on raising the responsibilities of local authorities in child protection, completing the legal system on dealing with child issues, developing child protection services, improving the operation of inter-sectoral organisations on child protection, and building a national database on child protection, violence against children, and child sexual abuse.
