Centenary of International Labour Organisation marked in Hanoi
A ceremony took place in Hanoi on August 27 to celebrate the centenary of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
Joining the ILO in 1992, Vietnam is committed to respecting, promoting and applying international labour standards in the ILO’s 1998 Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in line with the nation’s growth conditions.
Vietnam has so far ratified 24 ILO conventions. Most recently, the National Assembly adopted the organisation’s Convention 98 on the Right to Organize and Collective Bargaining at its 7th session in June this year.
