PPP agreement signed for sustainable development of aquaculture sector
The PPP agreement for implementation of the project “Support the sustainable development of Aquaculture in Vietnam through public private partnerships” was signed by the Directorate General of Fisheries (D-Fish), Vietnam Fisheries Society (VINAFIS), Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) and IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative on August 22.
This is a typical example of a public-private partnership model aimed at mobilising resources from the Government and the private sector to address challenges for the sustainable development of the fisheries sector in Vietnam.
The project aims to enhance disease management by improving the disease monitoring system, improve shrimp and pangasius farming practices in the supply chain, and assist shrimp and pangasius enterprises in improving the traceability system to meet market requirements.
